Founders Ann Edberg and Anna Söderberg met whilst studying a master’s degree course at Openlab, where they studied methods and tools for innovators facing the challenges of a growing city. Their varied educational backgrounds and experiences complemented one another, adding dimensions and contributing to better solutions. They realized they had a common set of values, and an aim to work professionally with social sustainability and resource-effective solutions.
“Ett tak två generationer” started with an idea and Ann was one of the initiators. The project idea was partly financed by Swedish innovation agency Vinnova’s Social Innovation call. As part of the project, a design process was used to investigate – together with the main target groups, student unions and senior organizations – how a service would be structured to promote a lodger experience that is perceived as mutual, safe and pleasant.
The project was successful and, in the summer of 2016, an economic association was formed to develop the project idea into a service. The partner HSB – with a strong foundation amongst the target groups and special knowledge in the housing field – joined and the team grew. Anna and Ann’s roads were crossed again in 2017 and they decided to continue working together. They started Ett tak in April 2018 and have since gone from strength to strength.
